

TTA Taekwondo Southwark is a prominent Tae kwon do school located in London, specifically in the Tower Bridge and Bermondsey area. For adults and older children, classes are held on Tuesdays from 7:40 pm to 8:40 pm at Harris Academy Bermondsey and on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 11:55 am at Downside Fisher Centre. The Southwark club also offers special free trial classes for adults, scheduled next on Saturday, 13th January. Kids classes are conducted on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:25 pm at Harris Academy Bermondsey and on Saturdays from 9:15 am to 10:10 am at Downside Fisher Centre. Unfortunately, the kids classes are currently full, and the club is not accepting any more waiting list requests.
TTA Taekwondo Southwark frequently organises beginners' classes to accommodate new members. The first two sessions are free, providing a great opportunity to get acquainted with the art of Tae kwon do. While there are available spaces in the adult classes, it is essential to note that the kids club is full, and no more individuals will be added to the waiting list.
The monthly subscription for TTA Taekwondo Southwark is 60 per month after the first two free sessions. Additional costs for an annual licence, dobok (uniform), and gradings are explained in detail during the in-person discussions.
When attending the first class, participants can expect a group warm-up and warm-down session. The training involves both group exercises and smaller groups focusing on specific techniques. Regarding attire, any sports clothing is acceptable for initial sessions. However, once someone decides to continue with the club, they will be provided with a dobok (white uniform). Typically, attendees wear tracksuit bottoms or shorts and a t-shirt. Training is conducted in bare feet, and changing rooms are available at the venues.
In terms of age restrictions, TTA Taekwondo Southwark accepts students from the age of 6 onwards. For teenagers aged 12 and above, an assessment is conducted to determine whether they should join the children's or adults' classes. Generally, children aged 13 and older are best suited for the adults' class. For any other inquiries or concerns, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the club for further assistance.
