Thinking about trying something new? Tudor Grange Aikido in Solihull, South Birmingham, might be just what you're looking for. They run welcoming classes for all levels.
Kids (under 12) can join on Mondays from 6:15pm-7:15pm at Tudor Grange, with teens and adults from 7:30pm-9:30pm. They also meet on Thursdays at Cocks Moors Woods – juniors again from 6:30pm-7:30pm, with everyone else from 7:30pm onwards.
If you’re new, get there 15 minutes early for a quick intro. It’s affordable too – adults pay £6 if working, £5 if not, and juniors just £5 per session. After three weeks, you'll need to pay for annual membership (£45 for adults, £25 for students/unemployed, and £20 for juniors).
Wear some comfy sports gear – trousers that cover your knees and a T-shirt work well. You'll be barefoot, so don't worry about shoes.
