Welcome to Tullamore Canoe Club, a vibrant, and active water sports club based in Tullamore. Established in 2003, our club offers a wide range of activities including kayaking, canoeing, canoe polo, freestyle, slalom and more. We are affiliated with Canoeing Ireland, the national governing body of canoeing, and adhere to their standards for training and safety.
Tullamore Canoe Club is a not-for-profit community organisation with the main objective of providing water sports training to community members, local organisations, Scouts, and other youth groups. Our dedicated volunteers run the club, organise events, and ensure that our members have a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
Our club offers training courses in open canoeing, kayaking, rolling clinics, first aid, and more. We also organise social trips on rivers and lakes, providing opportunities for members to explore Ireland's beautiful waterways while honing their paddling skills.
We are proud to work out of the 27th Lockhouse in Tullamore, where we have a fixed base for our activities. While the house itself is in need of repair, we are grateful to Waterways Ireland for allowing us to use the property as our base. We are continually fundraising and seeking donations to improve our facilities and provide a better experience for our members.
At Tullamore Canoe Club, our mission is to provide high-quality water sports training with a focus on safety, fun, and community. We strive to create a safe learning environment where members can improve their skills, physical health, and awareness of Ireland's waterways. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced paddler seeking new challenges, Tullamore Canoe Club welcomes you to join us on the water.
If you're interested in getting involved with our club or supporting us through donations or volunteering, please contact us. We thank all our members, sponsors, and supporters for helping us grow and thrive as a community-focused water sports club in Tullamore. We look forward to seeing you on the water!
