Join Tynedale Archers, a welcoming archery club in Tynedale, Hexham, and Haydon Bridge, Northumberland, founded in 2013. Once known as Allen-A-Dale Archers, this club is open to all skill levels, from beginners to pros.
At Tynedale Archers, you can try out different styles like barebow, recurve, and longbow. Enjoy outdoor sessions from April to October at St Joseph's RC Middle School on Sunday mornings or Tuesday and Thursday evenings. During winter, indoor shoots happen on Saturday afternoons at QEHS sports hall.
Three qualified Archery GB coaches are on hand to guide you through, whether you're competitive or just in it for fun. Newbies start with a beginner’s course, and all necessary gear is provided until you're set with your own.

Celebrate the club's achievements, like Felicity Goldsmith's Grand Master Bowman score at the Killingworth Archers tournament, making history for the club. Or Rob Say's Barebow County Champion title in the Durham & Northumberland Championships.

Frequently Asked Questions
During the warmer months from April to October we shoot outdoors at St Joseph's RC Middle School in Hexham on Sunday mornings from 10am and on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6pm to late.
During the winter we shoot indoors on Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm at Queen Elizabeth High School.
All new archers will need to complete a beginner's course as set out by Archery GB, and the club supplies all equipment for new beginners, so you just need to turn up.
