UNSW Kokikai Aikido Club is excited to invite you to their upcoming Aikido event! Whether you're a seasoned Aikido practitioner or a complete novice, this event is open to all interested players.
Taking place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, these classes provide a fantastic opportunity to delve into the world of Aikido and learn valuable self-defence techniques. The atmosphere is friendly, and the emphasis is always on ensuring safe and enjoyable training experiences.
For UNSW students, the fee for each class is just $15, or you can opt for a monthly pass at $40. Non-UNSW students are also welcome and can attend for $25 per class or $70 per month. Additionally, there is a yearly membership cost of $90 for AKA membership.
No previous experience in Aikido or any other martial art is necessary – beginners are wholeheartedly welcomed. All you need to bring is yourself and some loose, comfortable clothing that covers your knees. Uniforms can be purchased later on if you decide to continue with your Aikido journey.
Getting to the location is a breeze, with convenient access by both bus and car. For those coming from Sydney airport or the city, specific instructions will be provided to ensure you arrive with ease. The class itself takes place at the UniGym building, located on the corner of Anzac Parade and High St, within the UNSW campus.
Once you arrive at the UniGym, simply head up to the first floor, and you'll find the martial arts or archery room. If you have any questions or need assistance, the friendly staff at the reception desk will be more than happy to help.
