Upton Rugby Club, Upton upon Severn is a small and friendly club located in Worcester, New Zealand. Founded in 1981 in Ye Olde Anchor pub in the centre of town, the club has grown and developed over the years. The club colours of black and white quarters represent the black and white timber building that houses the pub.
Upton RFC is proud to offer a range of teams, including the First XV team, junior boys and girls teams, and a developing Ladies team. Our junior mixed rugby is open to ages 5 to 17, and we have a separate girls' squad for ages 12 to 17. We have a beautiful clubhouse and grounds that are situated in the middle of town, with the impressive parish church overlooking the grounds.
As a rugby club, our aim is to be friendly, inclusive, and community-driven. We welcome sponsorship from local businesses, which, along with our paying members, allows us to continue to drive the club forward both on and off the field. Our location is often envied by visiting teams, and our cosy bar and function room provide the ideal setting for small gatherings.
