The Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club, celebrating its 110th anniversary, is the oldest lawn bowling club in Vancouver. Established in 1912, the club has a long history of providing opportunities for physical exercise, competition, and fellowship to its members and the community. Located in Queen Elizabeth Park since 1967, the club boasts well-maintained greens and a comfortable clubhouse that are well-utilized by members and visitors alike.
Known for its friendly atmosphere, the Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club welcomes drop-ins from the end of April to September on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays in the afternoon, as well as on Wednesdays in the morning. The drop-in fee of $15 includes the use of club bowls, with clean, flat-soled shoes required. The club regularly hosts major tournaments such as the Andrew Dardano Memorial Triples for men and the Tournament of Roses Triples for women, providing friendly competition for members.
Membership options at the Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club include full membership, trial membership for new members, social membership for spouses or family members of club members, and drop-in rates. Corporate events can also be accommodated with coaching and club bowls provided, with reduced rates available for students and affiliate members of any club worldwide. Second club membership is available for those who wish to join two clubs.
