The Victoria Sailing Coop is a vibrant sailing club located in Victoria, Canada. Established in April 2014, this co-op has been providing sailing enthusiasts with the opportunity to enjoy the open waters since May 2014. The co-op operates with the goal of offering a minimum of 150 hours of day sailing and cruising for skippers during the prime sailing season from April to September, while keeping costs to a minimum by sharing the ownership, upkeep, and expenses of the boats.
Members of the Victoria Sailing Coop have the freedom to use the boats throughout the year, with no additional costs if they sail more than the minimum 150 hours. There are three different types of memberships available, each offering varying levels of access to the boats. Crew members have the option to upgrade to regular membership at any time, with the payment of the difference in joining fees.

In addition to regular sailing opportunities, the co-op also hosts various events and gatherings throughout the year. The co-op's Annual General Meeting is a significant event, where members gather to discuss club matters and elect new leadership.
The Victoria Sailing Coop faced a challenge recently when their insurance company announced they would no longer offer coverage for co-ops. However, the co-op was able to secure new insurance and continue operations smoothly. A recent addition to the co-op's fleet, the 1981 Hunter 30 named “Penelope,” has been a welcome asset to the club.
