Vinnie's Dance Classes is a local Contemporary Dance club based in Northampton, offering a variety of dance classes for children and young students. With our fun and friendly environment, we provide the perfect setting for students to learn and develop their dance skills.
We follow the ISTD syllabus for Ballet, Tap Dance, Modern Theatre Dance, Cheerleading, and Musical Theatre. Our classes take place on Saturdays in Community Halls located at Church Lane, Northampton, NN1 3NL. And here's the best part – all of our classes have the opportunity to participate in our Summer Term show and annual Class Presentation Day!
Let's dive into the different dance classes we offer. First up is Ballet. Our Pre-Primary Ballet class is perfect for children aged 3½ to 5 who are just starting their dance journey. This class introduces them to ballet while encouraging creativity, imagination, and self-confidence through dance and music. For children aged 5 and up, our Primary Ballet class is where they can develop their technique and work towards ISTD Ballet Examinations. We also offer various levels of Ballet classes, from Grade 1 all the way up to Grade 3, for different age groups.
If Tap Dance is more your style, we've got you covered. Our Tap Dance classes start with Primary Tap for children aged 5 and progress to Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 Tap for older students. Get those feet moving and make some rhythmical magic!
For our little performers, we have the Mini Performers class. Aimed at kids aged 4 to 7, this lively class allows them to jump, spin, leap, and shake to their heart's content. We introduce them to Street Dance, Cheerleading, and Musical Theatre skills while developing their rhythm and expression through music and dance.
Our Modern Theatre Dance class is all about versatility and style. Incorporating elements from jazz, lyrical, and contemporary dance, students learn kicks, leaps, and turns to develop their strength and flexibility. We offer different levels of Modern Theatre Dance, starting from Primary Modern for children aged 5, all the way up to Grade 3 Modern for older students.
If you've ever dreamed of becoming a cheerleader, we've got just the class for you. Our Cheerleading class teaches cheers, arm motions, and energetic dance routines. But that's not all – we also include Cheerleading lifts, pyramids, and tumbling/acrobatics to take your skills to the next level. This class is suitable for students aged 9 and up.
If musicals are your thing, our Musical Theatre class is where you need to be. This class focuses on developing performance skills and building confidence. Students will have the opportunity to work on their acting, dancing, and singing skills using a wide range of musical and theatre productions. We even follow the I-PATH Musical Theatre syllabus, which offers excellent vocal training alongside dance training. This class is available for anyone aged 9 and up.
Last but not least, our Street Dance class is perfect for those looking to broaden their dance knowledge and performance skills. Students will learn various styles of street dance and have the chance to choreograph their own routines. It's all about creativity and self-expression in this class. Suitable for ages 9 and up.
