Vitality Yoga, located in Bendigo, has been providing yoga classes for more than 25 years. Established in 1993 by Kehry Frank, the studio continues to evolve under the guidance of Kehry's daughter, Melanie Chapman. Vitality Yoga prides itself on offering a welcoming and inclusive environment, with classes suitable for all fitness levels, experience levels, ages, and body shapes and sizes.
At Vitality Yoga, they believe that yoga is not just about touching your toes but rather about the journey and the teachings you learn along the way. The studio aims to empower both the body and mind, allowing individuals to cultivate strength and vitality through their yoga practise.
The yoga classes at Vitality Yoga are a combination of face-to-face and live-streamed sessions via Zoom, unless otherwise specified. This flexibility allows students to choose whether they want to attend classes in person or from the comfort of their own homes. Face-to-face classes are scheduled for 75 minutes, except for the 6am classes, which run for 70 minutes. Casual and flexible passes are available for Zoom classes, making it convenient and affordable for students to participate.
Vitality Yoga offers a variety of classes to cater to different needs and preferences. The Beginner's General class is perfect for those who are new to yoga or for students who want to transition from Gentle Yoga & Meditation classes to more advanced practises. This class focuses on essential postures, sequences, and breathing techniques that are commonly found in the stronger General classes.
The General class is one of the most popular options at Vitality Yoga. It embodies the studio's signature style, combining movement, pranayama (breathing exercises), relaxation, and meditation. This class is suitable for students with some experience who are looking for a dynamic practise.
For those seeking a gentler practise, the Gentle Core class is ideal. It integrates regular yoga elements with strong energetic awareness and features easier and slower transitions. The class offers modifications to accommodate various ailments and fitness levels, with a particular emphasis on core strength. Gentle Core is suitable for beginners, older adults, and pregnant women.
Additionally, Vitality Yoga offers Gentle Yoga & Meditation classes, which, despite the name, may not always be gentle. However, this class provides accessibility and suits a wide range of individuals. It is an excellent option for people who previously believed that yoga might be too challenging for them.
To accommodate different schedules, Vitality Yoga provides a comprehensive timetable, allowing students to find a class that fits their availability. They also offer corporate workshops and events, as well as teacher training and kinesiology services.
