Viva Yoga Carlisle, located at Cumbria Wildlife Trust Gosling Sike on Houghton Road in Houghton, is a welcoming yoga studio that aims to help individuals achieve overall well-being and a balanced lifestyle. The name “Viva” translates to “Live Long” in NZ English, reflecting the studio's commitment to promoting longevity and vitality through the practise of yoga.
Under the expert guidance of Samantha Walker, a dedicated yoga practitioner since 1995, Viva Yoga Carlisle offers two types of classes that cater to all individuals, regardless of their age, size, or ability.
Viva Calm is an evening session that starts at 6pm and focuses on slow movements, calming stretching, and relaxation. It primarily incorporates floor-based exercises to help participants find inner peace and release stress accumulated throughout the day. The class allows individuals to improve flexibility while also strengthening their core and muscles, providing protection to their joints.
On the other hand, Viva Uplift is a morning session that starts at 6:30am and is designed to kickstart the day with a positive and energised mindset. This invigorating class helps participants feel focused, refreshed, and ready to tackle whatever comes their way.
For those who are new to yoga or prefer a slower-paced introduction, Sam offers clear and detailed explanations as she leads the classes, guiding participants breath by breath. The calm classes are perfect for beginners who are looking to explore the benefits of yoga.
In addition to group classes, Viva Yoga Carlisle also provides private and unique one-on-one sessions, as well as small group tuition. Sam tailors these sessions to meet individual needs and schedules, ensuring a personalised and tailored experience for each participant. Interested individuals can contact Sam for a quote and to discuss their specific requirements.
