Welcome to Waimakariri United Football Club! The club, based in Kaiapoi, offers Senior Women's Football in the Women's Premier League (WPL). It's a great opportunity for soccer players aged 16 years and older to showcase their skills and be part of an exciting league.
To participate, players can register with the club for a fee of $321 for standard registration. However, there's also an Early Bird fee available for those who sign up before the 15th of March 2024. So, it's a good idea to secure your spot early and take advantage of the discounted rate.
Games for the WPL are played both at home, at Kendall Park in Kaiapoi, and away in the Mainland Leagues. Our players get the chance to compete on a senior-size pitch and follow the 11v11 format, as set by the Mainland Competition rules.
To ensure our team is in top form, training sessions are held twice a week on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Kendall Park. This gives players ample opportunity to sharpen their skills and build strong camaraderie with their teammates.
As for the start date of the season, we're in the process of finalising it. Don't worry, though – we'll keep you updated as soon as it's confirmed. In addition to regular league games, there may also be cup games or double headers, so be prepared for some extra soccer action!
Results of the games are recorded on a league table, which you can access on the Mainland Football Website. It's always exciting to see how our team performs and how we stack up against other clubs in the league.
