Waitara Golf Club, known as Airedale Links, is a premier 18-hole links course situated 18 kilometres from central New Plymouth. Organiser Kevin invites sports players to enjoy the spectacular views of the Tasman Sea, the Taranaki coastline, and Mount Taranaki that this picturesque setting offers.
The course measures 4756 metres for men (par 67) and 4554 metres for women (par 70), providing a challenging yet rewarding experience for players of all levels. Kevin emphasises that the well-maintained landscape, combined with natural features and strategic hazards, ensures a competitive game every time.
Membership options at Waitara Golf Club include full playing subscriptions at $350, a 9-hole option for $280, and country subscriptions for $300. Junior memberships are available at $35 for individuals under 18 and still in school. A special first-year membership is offered at $250 with conditions, and an optional Hole in One fee of $6 can be added.
For non-members, green fees stand at $10, with cart hire costing $20 for members and $30 for non-members. The club also offers package deals such as 10 rounds for $90, providing excellent value for frequent players.
Waitara Golf Club has a reciprocal agreement with Riverside Golf Club, allowing members to enjoy playing privileges at both clubs under certain conditions.
