Welcome, everyone, to Walton Gymnastics Club in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey! Our club has been around for more than 50 years, starting off as Elmbridge Gymnastics Club back in 1972. We've grown and changed over the years, and over 25 years ago, we proudly became Walton Gymnastics Club.
Maureen and her son run the club and have given over 45 years of their lives to making it what it is today. Their love for gymnastics and dedication to helping young gymnasts is clear every week.
Here at Walton Gymnastics Club, safety and quality training come first. We keep our coach-to-pupil ratios lower than what British Gymnastics recommends. All our coaches have enhanced DBS checks and are fully insured members of British Gymnastics. We also have a Child Protection Officer to make sure our young gymnasts are safe.
Our training follows the British Gymnastics guidelines, providing structured and individual development for each gymnast. We focus on discipline, etiquette, behaviour, and sportsmanship to create a positive learning environment.
We've done a thorough risk assessment of our gym and regularly review it to keep our gymnasts safe.
Check out our website for key dates and important events. We have three terms a year — Winter, Spring, and Summer — and a special Christmas Fun Week to cap off the year. Our gymnasts also get to show off their skills in various competitions throughout the year.
