Wanstead Shotokan Karate Club

Wanstead Shotokan Karate Club, located in London, is a renowned martial arts school with a rich history dating back to 1985. With 39 years of experience in Shotokan Karate, they are committed to providing excellence in training to individuals of all ages and abilities.

The club offers a wide range of Karate classes seven days a week, catering to beginners, intermediate, and advanced Black and Brown Belt students and instructors. They have multiple locations across North East London, including Walthamstow, Enfield, Harlow, Barnet, Wanstead, and more. This allows students to find a convenient location to train.

When starting at Wanstead Shotokan Karate Club, no special clothing is required. Participants can wear loose and comfortable clothing. The club has a welcoming and supportive environment, and newcomers are encouraged to come and watch a class in progress. If they are eager to start immediately, they can do so with the guidance of the club's team of fully qualified Black Belt Instructors.

The SKE instructors undergo rigorous and ongoing training programmes and examinations to ensure that they are equipped with the latest teaching techniques. The Chief Instructor of Wanstead Shotokan Karate Club, Sensei Rod Butler, has over 45 years of experience in Shotokan Karate. He was a regular instructor at the Marshall St Dojo of Sensei Enoeda, a highly respected Chief Instructor of the KUGB. Sensei Butler achieved his 4th Dan KUGB JKA under the late Sensei Enoeda in May 1999.
