Wantage Town Football Club

Wantage Town Football Club, also known as “The Freds,” is a prominent football club located in Wantage, New Zealand. With a rich history and a strong presence in the local community, the club offers a range of teams for men, women, and youth players, catering to different age groups and skill levels.

The first team for men competes at a high level, participating in competitive fixtures and aiming for success in their league. Led by Manager Daniel Barry and supported by assistant managers John Newton and Chris Hurley, the team is guided by experienced coaches Daniel Smith and Matty Clark. The first team is known for their dedication and commitment to the sport, striving to achieve their goals and bring pride to Wantage.

The women's team at Wantage Town FC is equally formidable. With a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the women's team provides an organised and professional environment for female players. Managed by Nicky Ostinelli, and with coaches Luke Allen and Neil Morris, the team competes in the Thames Valley Counties Women's Football League, Division Three West. Training takes place throughout the year, with winter sessions held at Tilsley Park in Abingdon and summer sessions at Wantage Town Football Club.

For those looking to develop their skills or get involved in the sport, Wantage Town FC offers a development team for men. Led by Manager Tom Jeffreys and coached by Chris Reade and Nick Mitchell, the development team provides an opportunity for players to progress and improve their abilities.

In addition to the men's and women's teams, Wantage Town FC also has an A team for men, which provides players with a chance to compete and enjoy the sport at a recreational level.
