Watch Fly Reservoir is a joint venture between Kelso and St Boswells and Newtown Districts Angling Associations. It operates in compliance with current Scottish and UK Government guidelines, ensuring the safety and well-being of all visitors. To reach Watch Fly Reservoir, there are two recommended routes. From Edinburgh, you can head south on the A68 and turn left at the Carfraemill roundabout, following the signs for Coldstream (A697). After 9 miles, turn left for Westruther and Duns (A6456). As you approach Duns from the west, turn left for Longformacus.
The reservoir is signposted 2 1/2 miles ahead, and you will pass a water treatment building on your right. Note that the access road passes through Rawburn Farm steading, and visitors are requested to open and close the gate when passing through. The fishing lodge is located half a mile further.
Alternatively, for a more scenic route from Edinburgh and East Lothian, you can go via Gifford, crossing the picturesque Lammermuir Hills.
