Waterside Archers

Waterside Archers, located on the picturesque South coast within the stunning New Forest, is an archery club in Southampton. With a growing membership, the club welcomes archers from all backgrounds and bow styles, including the Longbow, Compound Bow, and Recurve Bow – the bow of the Olympics.

During summer, Waterside Archers can be found at their beautiful outdoor range near Exbury Gardens. Club days are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with shooting taking place whenever there is enough daylight and at least two people present. In the winter months, the club moves indoors to their range at Gang Warily. Indoor shooting sessions are held on Fridays from 7pm to 9pm.

For those interested in learning the art of archery, Waterside Archers offers various archery courses. Beginners can enrol in the Beginners Course, which consists of three sessions spread over consecutive weeks. The club provides all the necessary equipment during the course, and participants have the option to continue using club equipment after completing the course. Coaches are available to offer guidance on purchasing individual equipment when archers are ready to make that commitment.

Members of Waterside Archers have access to exclusive club facilities, including a well-maintained field that can be used all day, subject to Archery GB rules of shooting. The club also organises tournaments throughout the year, allowing members to test their skills and compete with other archers in the local area.

To become a member of Waterside Archers, individuals who have completed a beginners course or possess an Archery GB number are encouraged to visit the club during Sunday mornings from 10am at their Exbury Range.
