Waverley District Netball Association (WDNA) is a vibrant sports club located in Ashwood, Melbourne. Founded in 1961, WDNA has grown to become a thriving netball community with 286 teams from local schools and players of all ages and abilities. The club is known for its twelve acrylic-surfaced netball courts, providing a high-quality playing surface for all members.
The netball season at WDNA is diverse, offering a range of programmes and competitions for players to participate in. The club runs a NetSetGo programme, which introduces children to the sport and develops their skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Saturday competitions are held at the club's courts on the corner of Cassinia Ave and Farmer St in Ashwood, while night competitions take place at the newly redeveloped Oakleigh Recreation Centre on Park Rd in Oakleigh.
In addition to regular competitions, WDNA also has representative teams for both female and male players. These teams provide the opportunity for talented players to compete at a higher level and showcase their skills in state-level competitions. The club also places great emphasis on umpire development, offering an extensive umpire programme to train and support umpires at all levels.
