About
Children and teenagers in the Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury area have the exciting opportunity to be part of the local Contemporary Dance club, Stagecoach Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury. With a focus on singing, dancing, and drama, this club helps young individuals aged six to 18 enhance their skills in these areas.
Located on Main Street, the club offers weekly Main Stages performing arts classes that cater to different age groups. Students will be grouped with others their age, ensuring a comfortable and supportive learning environment.
What sets these classes apart is the variety they offer. Each week, the students engage in different activities, providing a refreshing and engaging experience. Parents and guardians are more than welcome to come and watch as the students showcase the performances they create together as a team.
In addition to singing, dancing, and acting, students also explore various music and dance styles. Musical theatre and street dance are just a few examples of what they get to experience. Furthermore, the club incorporates drama activities like role play, improvisation, and performance, offering a well-rounded education in the performing arts.
For those interested, the Main Stages classes are available in selected schools and run during term time for three hours each week. A term lasts approximately 12 weeks, giving students ample time to immerse themselves in their learning journey.
