About
Tony wants to share some exciting news from Welham Bowling Club with the sports community. Welham Bowling Club, just a stone's throw from Malton railway station in Norton-on-Derwent, is a small outdoor club set in the heart of North Yorkshire. Nestled between Malton and Norton, divided by the River Derwent, it's conveniently situated between York and Scarborough.
Throughout the summer, the club is perfect for social bowling in a relaxed atmosphere. It's also an opportunity to join the Batagas Triples league, where members compete against other clubs in the Ryedale area.
Bowls offers something for everyone—whether it's the social side with good company and conversation or the competitive element that tests skill and strategy. It's a sport for all ages and abilities.
Welham Bowling Club is always on the lookout for new members. Whether you’re an experienced bowler or entirely new to the game, you'll find a warm welcome. Experienced members are available to provide guidance and support.
Tony highlights the picturesque views from Norton across the club towards Malton’s centre, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a match. The club regularly hosts matches, social events, and coaching sessions to foster skills and camaraderie among members.
For more information or to get involved, visit the club's website or use the contact details provided. Tony also invites everyone to their Open Day on Sunday 24th April, a chance to experience the club’s welcoming atmosphere and discover the world of lawn green bowls.
