WellbeingFIT is a mental health personal trainer based in Wadhurst, East Sussex and Kent. The inspiration behind the creation of WellbeingFIT stems from the personal experience of the trainer, who has dealt with depression, anxiety, and received treatment for PTSD. The core beliefs at WellbeingFIT are that exercise can have a positive impact on mental health and overall wellbeing, and that the trainer's unique experience allows for specialised support for clients. The trainer firmly believes that everyone is capable of much more than they believe.
At WellbeingFIT, it is firmly believed that exercise is for everyone, and there are countless ways to move our bodies and feel amazing. WellbeingFIT offers a range of services, including local classes for up to eight people, as well as personal training in a one-on-one setting, online, or in small groups of four.
The founder of WellbeingFIT is a mother of three who has personally experienced depression and anxiety since 2010. While prescribed medication helped, exercise provided her with a sense of self-worth and achievement. However, she struggled to find a supportive peer group or associated support, leading to feelings of loneliness and detachment. In 2018, she had a realisation that she could merge fitness and mental health as a personal trainer, leading her to become a Level 4 Mental Health Personal Trainer.
Additionally, she is qualified to work with women during pregnancy and in the postnatal period.
For those seeking physical activity, challenge, and self-care, WellbeingFIT can utilise the trainer's experience, qualifications, and passion to assist them. Whether clients have or are currently experiencing mental health issues, or simply desire a personal trainer who prioritises overall well-being rather than external factors such as appearance or weight loss, WellbeingFIT is dedicated to providing support. The focus is on health as a whole, and exercise is viewed as an inclusive and positive experience, devoid of any shame. Discovering one's physical and mental capabilities can be a transformative experience for overall well-being.
