Chris, the organiser from Welton Waters Adventure Centre, warmly invites the sports community to experience the range of activities available at this unique venue. Set by the picturesque Humber River, just 11 miles from the centre of Hull, the adventure centre caters to all ages and abilities with both land and water-based activities.
At Welton Waters, beginners and seasoned adventurers alike can enjoy dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, powerboating, sculling/rowing, and open water swimming. Chris has ensured the centre is open to the public all year round without any membership requirements. Recently, an online booking system was introduced, allowing visitors to reserve kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, pedalos, and swimming slots with just a few clicks.
Please note the centre will have a brief closure for Christmas from Wednesday, 20th December at 12 noon, reopening on Wednesday, 3rd January at 9 am. Chris expresses heartfelt gratitude to all visitors for their support throughout 2023 and looks forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.
During winter, the centre operates from Tuesday to Friday, 9 am to 2:30 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm, with closures on Monday and Sunday for public activities. Additionally, there are Saturday sailing and windsurfing sessions led by experienced instructors from 10 am to 11:30 am, priced at £20 per adult and £15 per junior under 16.
Sailing lessons are available for those aged 8 and above, while windsurfing lessons start from age 10. The centre holds full accreditation from RYA, BCU, and AALA, ensuring all activities are conducted safely by highly qualified staff.
