Welcome to Wensum Sports Centre, a charitable association located in Norwich, Norfolk. With a variety of facilities and activities, we aim to cater to the needs of our local community.
Our multifunctional sports hall is equipped with five badminton courts, which can also be set up for basketball, football, and netball. Additionally, we have two squash courts and offer internal squash leagues for both mixed and ladies teams. We also have three teams dedicated to squash.
For those looking to stay fit, our gym offers a range of cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, free weights, and a functional training area. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced fitness enthusiast, our gym has something for everyone.
In addition to our sports facilities, we have two meeting rooms available for both formal and informal meetings, exercise classes, and even table tennis.
To ensure convenience for our members, we provide an online booking system for badminton, squash, table tennis, the conference room, and the entire main hall. Please note that online bookings can only be made by members.
Wensum Sports Centre has a rich history rooted in community involvement. We started as a voluntary-based charity and have since expanded to becoming a vital community asset. In 2010, we successfully rescued the sports hall from closure, and we continue to strive for improvement. We are currently seeking an extended lease from Norfolk County Council to further enhance our services.
Membership at Wensum Sports Centre is not obligatory for using our facilities, and non-members are welcome with an entry fee of 1 per visit. However, becoming a member offers many benefits, including inclusive entry and access to our online booking system, allowing you to reserve facilities up to three weeks in advance.
