West End Experience (Musical Theatre) at YSBD Theatre Academy is a fantastic opportunity for children aged 7-18 to explore their creative side and build confidence through the magic of musical theatre. This unique class offers a chance to perform in a full-scale production of a West End or Broadway show, complete with costumes and a professional stage setting in either the YSBD studios or a local theatre.
The current production, 'SHREK THE MUSICAL JR', is a fun and exciting project presented in association with Musical Theatre International – Europe. Students will get to show off their talents in a performance at The Kingsway School for their families in July 2024. The West End Masterclass is designed to give students a taste of what it's like to be part of a real Musical Theatre company, following the show scripts and libretto of the chosen musical.
Not only will students get to star in their own musical, but they will also have the chance to meet performers who have previously been involved in the shows. These special visits include Q&A sessions and workshops, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at the world of professional musical theatre.
