Westcott Cricket Club

Westcott Cricket Club, based in Aylesbury, has always been a proud part of the local sports scene. As an active member of the Cherwell Cricket League, they’ve consistently demonstrated their love for cricket and their strong sense of community.

This past season, the 1st XI and 2nd XI teams played with heaps of enthusiasm. The 1st XI did brilliantly, securing their spot in Division 3a for next year. The 2nd XI also put in a solid performance, finishing fourth in Division 7a, and are keen to climb higher next season. The club is bidding farewell to Cade, the “mullet haired Aussie”, who’s heading back to Australia. He’s been a treasured part of the team and leaves behind many friends and fond memories.

Recently, the club mourned the loss of Neil Schneider, a lifelong supporter and member. Neil’s passing was deeply felt by the committee, players, and friends. His contributions to the club will always be cherished and remembered.

Westcott Cricket Club isn’t just about cricket; it’s about coming together and having a good time. They organise various social events throughout the year, including the Westcott Light Orchestra Carol Evening on Saturday, 16th December 2023 – sure to be a night of music and festive cheer.

And let’s not forget the annual Presentation Evening on Saturday, 2nd September 2023, a night to celebrate and give out awards for outstanding performances throughout the season.

The club’s also supported by Blanchford Building Supplies and Chambers Engineering Ltd, whose contributions are deeply valued, helping the club thrive and provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
