West Herts Hockey Club

West Herts Hockey Club is a thriving and forward-thinking hockey club located in Watford, New Zealand. The club prides itself on offering a fun and competitive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. With a range of teams and programmes, West Herts Hockey Club ensures that there is something for everyone.

The club boasts six men's teams, with the 1st XI competing in the prestigious Prem London League, and the Masters (over 40s) team participating in the London League. The remaining teams compete at various levels across the new London League and East League structures. For women, there are four teams, with the 1st XI also playing in the Prem London League and the others competing in various levels of the new London League.

In addition to the adult teams, West Herts Hockey Club has a thriving Junior section, offering coaching and teams for all age groups from Under 8's to Under 18's. The club is dedicated to providing excellent coaching and development opportunities for young players.

The club also offers opportunities for Masters players, with both men's and women's Masters cups entries. Indoor hockey teams for men and women are also available, and both have recent national league experience.

For those looking to get back into hockey or try the sport for the first time, West Herts Hockey Club runs Back to Hockey sessions. These dedicated coaching sessions cater to both men and women, providing a welcoming environment for those considering a return to the sport or adults looking to try it for the first time. These sessions take place every year in May.

Throughout the summer months, West Herts Hockey Club organises Corporate 5s, a fun and social summer hockey league for players of all levels. This 5-a-side league, played on half pitches, encourages participation from local businesses, families, and schools.
