Westown Golf Club and Golf Shop, located in Mangorei, offers a friendly and picturesque golfing experience in Taranaki, New Zealand. Situated just 8 kilometres from central New Plymouth, the club is easily accessible at 964 Mangorei Road, off State Highway 3.
The club features an 18-hole course that boasts tree-lined fairways, meticulously manicured greens, and challenging holes that cater to golfers of all skill levels. In 2022, Westown Golf Club milled all the pine trees around the course and replaced them with 2500 native trees, creating a more inviting environment for bird life. The club also actively participates in a trapping programme to support Towards Predator Free Taranaki, with traps being checked weekly by dedicated volunteers.

Juniors are coached and encouraged to play at their own comfortable level while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the game, its rules, and proper etiquette.
With a long-term commitment to junior golf, Westown Golf Club strives to become a leading club for junior development in North Taranaki within the next five years. The programme caters to boys and girls aged 5 to 18, with each term involving a grading system that assigns participants to specific groups based on their ability and understanding of golf.

Players are expected to arrive 10 minutes before the designated start time and come prepared with a hat, drink, snack, appropriate footwear, and sunscreen. Respect for the well-maintained golf course is paramount, with players avoiding littering, dragging feet on putting greens, and making unnecessary noise.
Divots, pitch marks, and bunkers should be properly tended to after use, and clubs should not be thrown. These guidelines ensure a pleasant and enjoyable golfing experience for all.
