About
West Oxford Taekwon-Do Club, led by the experienced Mr. Chris Hall (4th Dan black belt), is a welcoming martial arts club based in Oxford, UK. Open to everyone aged 8 to 80, the club meets every Monday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Seacourt Hall.
At West Oxford, students will enhance their fitness, flexibility, stamina, self-confidence, and coordination through the practice of Taekwon-Do, a modern form of Karate. Mr. Hall, who has trained extensively with Grand Master Hopwood, ensures a safe and encouraging environment with semi-contact sparring, focusing on technique rather than full-contact fighting.
Mr. Hall is CRB checked and holds a PGCE. The club is affiliated with the GTI (Global Taekwon-Do International) and carries public liability insurance up to £5,000,000. Joining the club also offers access to valuable resources like the original textbook by Major General Choi Hong Hi.
For those participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, West Oxford Taekwon-Do Club is a perfect fit for the Physical and Volunteering sections. The club will assist with logging training progress and provide necessary assessments.
So whether you aim to boost your martial arts skills, grow in confidence, or complete your Duke of Edinburgh Award, West Oxford Taekwon-Do Club is here to support and guide you. Join us for a fun and enriching experience!
