Westport Covey Wheelers Cycling Club

Westport Covey Wheelers Cycling Club is a thriving cycling community based in Westport, dedicated to promoting road cycling in the local area. The club offers a welcoming and supportive environment for cyclists of all levels, from beginners to experienced riders. The club organises regular club spins every Sunday throughout the year, as well as Wednesday evening rides from April to September, weather permitting.

The club is actively involved in competitive cycling events and races, with members participating in local and national races such as the Ras Mhaigh Eo and the Covey Road Racing League. Members also have the opportunity to compete in time trials, with the club hosting the Covey TT League and the Strava TT League for riders to test their speed and endurance.

One of the club's standout riders, Niall McLoughlin, has achieved significant success on the track, winning the Elite National Scratch Race Championship and making a name for himself in the cycling community. The club is proud to support and nurture talented riders like Niall, providing a platform for them to excel in their cycling pursuits.
