Steve has a passion for helping individuals improve their health, fitness, and lifestyle, and has been a personal trainer for over 9 years. Prior to his career in fitness, Steve worked for 26 years in Telecoms, as well as serving in the Army and various Telecoms Companies.
Steve's love for sports and physical activity led him to make a career change and pursue his passion for helping others. He is dedicated to providing his clients with 100% commitment and asks that they also commit to their training in order to achieve their goals. Steve is not only a personal trainer, but also a keen runner and cyclist himself, having completed various races and even the London Marathon 6 times. His experience in running and endurance training makes him a great choice for those looking to start or improve their running journey.
In addition to being a qualified Fitness and Motivation Coach, Steve holds several certifications and qualifications. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, registered with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) and the National Register of Personal Trainers (NRPT). His qualifications include CYQ Level 2 and 3 in Fitness and Personal Training, Advanced PT Skills, Nutrition & Weight Management, Functional Training & Sports, Clinical Exercise & Specific Populations, Motivation & Lifestyle Coaching, Fitness Business, Barefoot Running Technique Instructor, Kettlebell Instructor, TRX Suspension Training Instructor, and UK Athletics Level 2 specialising in Endurance. He is also a FA Level 1 Football Coach and holds a BTEC First Certificate in Sport.
Steve is First Aid qualified, ensuring the safety and well-being of his clients during training sessions.
At What A Life Fitness, personal training is offered as a mobile service, giving clients the convenience of training in the park or at home. Steve provides maximum support and motivation during his one-on-one sessions, ensuring that his clients workout effectively and efficiently. His expertise extends beyond traditional personal training, as he is also trained in Trigger Point Foam Rolling Principles & Practises. This additional skill allows him to provide his clients with foam rolling techniques to aid in recovery and improve flexibility.
