The White Sox Baseball Club, located in Wallsend, is the oldest club in the Newcastle Baseball Association, boasting a rich history spanning over 75 years since its establishment in 1946. The Newcastle Baseball Association is a winter competition that typically runs from late March to late September. Since 2015, the club has been based at Plattsburg Park on Hope Street, a facility considered one of the leading baseball grounds in the region.

White Sox Baseball Club caters to players of all ages and skill levels, offering programmes for TBall, Junior Baseball, and Seniors Baseball. One of their core values is being a family-friendly club, placing a strong emphasis on fun, sportsmanship, and providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy the game. Whether you're a seasoned player or a complete beginner, the club welcomes individuals of all experience levels. The primary mission of White Sox Baseball Club is to encourage active participation, foster a positive environment, and ensure everyone has a great time.

As a proud member of the Good Sports programme, White Sox Baseball Club promotes responsible alcohol consumption and a safe, inclusive atmosphere. Wet weather notifications are promptly communicated on Facebook and TeamApp, ensuring everyone stays informed.

The club takes great pride in the expertise of their coaches, ensuring all support staff possess Working With Children Certificates. White Sox Baseball Club values parent participation in coaching, scoring, umpiring, and other club activities, actively supporting and ensuring a positive experience for the entire family. The club also places a strong focus on providing quality mentorship to new players and junior players transitioning into senior ranks, aiding in skill and confidence development.

White Sox Baseball Club recognises the growing popularity of baseball and the increasing number of representative opportunities available. The Newcastle Association itself is home to several players who have represented the Australian Baseball League and have successful careers overseas. To support players interested in representative opportunities, the NBA, Baseball NSW, and Baseball Australia offer well-structured representative programmes. White Sox Baseball Club prides itself on frequent participation in the Newcastle Representative teams and beyond, starting from Little League and extending into Junior and Senior Ball for both men and women.

The club is proudly sponsored by local businesses and is supported by their dedicated committee members for the year 2023. The committee is led by President Phil Davies, with Vice Presidents Arran Owen and Peter Ray. Nathan Holloway serves as Treasurer, Travers Searle as Secretary, and Jason France as Assistant Secretary. Additionally, the club has many Ordinary Members who contribute to the club's success.

For game-related information, including team selections, upcoming fixtures, statistics, and standings, White Sox Baseball Club publishes weekly updates on their website. Game times for seniors range from Sunday afternoons for 1st and 2nd Grade to Saturday afternoons for 3rd and 4th Grade. Some games may be scheduled on Sundays for 5th and 6th Grade teams. Junior games take place on Sundays for Little League, Zooka Ball, and Teeball, as well as Saturdays for Senior teams.
