Welcome to Winchester Theatre Arts, a passionate and inclusive performing arts school located in Winchester, New Zealand. With over 40 years of experience, our director Claire Goodwin has nurtured the joy of performing in thousands of students and takes great pride in the growth and progress of the school.

At Winchester Theatre Arts, we specialise in dancing, singing, and acting for the stage, catering to students aged 3 to 18. Our aim is to provide everyone with equal opportunities to perform, without the stress and pressure of exams. We offer a range of lessons and classes that cover all aspects of performing arts, including Jazz, Tap, Street Dance, Ballet, singing, acting, and performance. We also provide Pre-School Dance opportunities and One-to-One singing and ballet lessons.

Our lessons are designed to be engaging and enjoyable, allowing students to develop their skills and explore their creativity in a supportive environment. We believe in nurturing individual talents and helping each student reach their full potential. Whether your child is a beginner or at an advanced level, we have classes suited to their abilities.

To make the booking process convenient for our students, parents, and patrons, we have an online system where you can easily book your trial lessons. We also provide all the necessary information in one place, including the weekly lesson timetable, rehearsal dates and times, term and uniform information. Our term for the year 2024 runs from Tuesday 2nd January to Sunday 11th February. Lessons are scheduled throughout the week, from Monday to Saturday, at our spacious and well-equipped studio. We have qualified and experienced instructors, such as Jenny Boer and Angel Wolf-Black, who are dedicated to ensuring a quality learning experience for every student.

As part of our commitment to providing diverse performance opportunities, we are excited to announce upcoming auditions for Cinderella USA and the Musical Theatre Group. Interested students can add their names to the sign-up list in the studio to audition.
