Worcester Badminton Club

Worcester Badminton Club, located in Worcester, is a well-established badminton club that has been serving the community for over 35 years. The club is dedicated to promoting and fostering a love for badminton among players of all skill levels and ages. With its top status in the Worcestershire League, the club offers competitive play and opportunities for both new and experienced players to improve their skills.

The league club meets twice a week at Kings School in Worcester, on Mondays and Wednesdays. The sessions start at 7. 30pm on Mondays and 8. 00pm on Wednesdays.

Feather shuttles are used during play to ensure an authentic and challenging experience. The club currently has 10 teams participating in various divisions of the Worcestershire League, including men's, women's, mixed, and veterans teams.

For those who are new to the sport or looking to return after a break, Worcester Badminton Club offers a Saturday Social Club. This club is open to players aged 7 and up and takes place at Bishop Perowne C E College on Saturday mornings. It provides a relaxed and friendly environment where players can enjoy the game at their own pace. Whether you are a beginner or someone who wants to get back into the sport, the Saturday Club welcomes players of all abilities.

The club provides racquets for those who do not have their own, and plastic shuttles are used during play. Parents are welcome to participate or watch, but it is mandatory for juniors under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult.

COVID-19 guidelines are followed, and showers are currently unavailable for use.
