The history of the Eagle Claw style can be traced back over 850 years to the Sung Dynasty, where it was created by General Yui Feh. The World Eagle Claw Association, founded by Gini Lau, the 8th generation and youngest daughter of the late Grand Master Lau Fat Mang, aims to preserve and teach this ancient art form. Grand Master Lau Fat Mang, in addition to being a renowned martial arts instructor, utilised his skills during the Second World War as he fought and trained the special forces troop named the 19th Regiment Dai Do Brigade. The Dai Do Brigade achieved notable feats during the Japanese occupation of China, further enhancing the legacy of Eagle Claw Kung Fu.
