Tony Atherden wants to share a few thoughts with the sports community. As the organiser of Wrekin Shotokan Karate Club in Trinity Dojo, Telford, he extends a warm welcome to everyone.
The club initially began in April 1994 at Wrekin College in Wellington, Shropshire. Since October 2020, it's been operating out of its new home in the Priorslee area of Telford. Following the traditional Japanese Shotokan karate-do style, the club places a strong emphasis on training, coaching, and practising karate, drawn from the teachings of the founder, Hirokazu Kanazawa soke, Meijin.

The club is open to all, whether you're a beginner or have previous karate experience. It offers a supportive environment for developing physical fitness, self-discipline, and mental strength through karate.
For more information, there's the club's website. The News and Events page keeps everyone updated on activities and competitions, while the Facebook Group is a great space for members to connect and stay informed about club announcements.
