About

Welcome aboard the Yacht-Club Royal Saint-Laurent! Founded in 1888 by a group of Montreal businessmen with a keen interest in water sports and competition, the Club was granted the "Royal" appellation by Queen Victoria in 1894. Over the years, our Club has been closely intertwined with Montreal's history and proudly upholds rich traditions. Explore our Club and its fascinating history!

Membership at the Yacht-Club Royal Saint-Laurent offers members an ideal location for sailing and motorboat enthusiasts. Unique facilities, including a pool and tennis courts, allow members to enjoy the Club even if they do not own a boat. Keep reading to see the different membership categories and the application process.

On the water, whether for serious competition or leisurely cruising on the waters of Lake Saint-Louis or its surroundings, YCRStL offers a multitude of choices for sailing and motorboat enthusiasts. Sail training, regattas, and leisure cruises are just a few examples of what the Club offers.

In addition to water activities, members have access to various facilities, including a beautiful main clubhouse built in 1961, the Duggan Pavilion dedicated to the junior squadron and racing teams, a pool, and three tennis courts. Our well-sheltered marina offers superior facilities with a full range of services, all in a unique waterfront location just 25 minutes from downtown Montreal.

With commercial-grade facilities, the Royal's kitchen can cater to members' needs and also offers the opportunity for external organizations to rent its services for special occasions, business meetings, or weddings. Our chef and sous-chef bring international experience, ensuring top-notch quality and service.

Alongside sports activities like swimming and tennis, there are numerous social events at the Club. Evenings may include seminars, official events, themed parties, award ceremonies, concerts, tastings, dances, and more. Groups form around common interests for networking and socializing.

The office hours of the Yacht-Club Royal Saint-Laurent are Monday to Friday, closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Located at 1350 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, Quebec, H9S2E3, the Club can be contacted at 514-631-2720 or 514-631-2725.
