Yarraman Territory is a horse riding school, camping farm, and tourist attraction located in Virginia, Australia. With a strong focus on delivering life skills, engagement, participation, wellbeing, training, and employment opportunities, Yarraman Territory offers a unique and transformative experience through the practise of horsemanship. Participants have the chance to interact with our team of talented equine members, which helps to engage, inspire, and motivate them.

At Yarraman Territory, we believe that our experiences go beyond just providing an enjoyable time. We are passionate about changing lives and have witnessed positive outcomes such as the development of essential life skills, improved wellbeing, and practical skills in rural industries. Many of our participants have experienced increased engagement in school and vocational activities and even found work opportunities through their involvement with us.

The Yarraman Territory Way, guided by Marc Gallagher, our Head Trainer and Founder, ensures that each individual's needs are met, fostering a supportive and empowering environment. Our dedicated team offers a range of programmes to cater to diverse needs. From riding lessons and clinics to custom one-on-one programmes, our goal is to provide engaging and personalised experiences.

Our horsemanship clinics and demonstrations are conducted either at your premises or at our designated locations, with the option for additional fees. Participants are introduced to natural horsemanship, basic horse handling, care, and riding skills. These clinics have shown excellent results in remote areas over the years. Ranging from one to five days, our clinics have been successful at teaching young people how to safely handle horses, develop skills, and even experience trick riding.

For those seeking a more individualised approach, we offer custom one-on-one programmes. These sessions take place at our training facility and can be accessed either privately or through your NDIS provider. Our team works closely with health professionals to offer diverse and bespoke treatments or therapies for patients. Sessions typically last 45 minutes and start at $110.

Yarraman Territory also provides the Connexion with Horses programme, which is tailored to disengaged and at-risk youth but is open to individuals of all ages and experience levels. This programme can be offered once or twice per week, with each session lasting for an hour. Using natural horsemanship techniques, participants learn safe handling, engagement, maintenance, care, grooming, and eventually progress to horse riding, including mustering and mounted games.
