Yoga Lifeline & Bowen Therapy is a Yoga studio located in Perivale, Greenford, offering traditional Yoga classes and Bowen Therapy services. Led by experienced teacher Laura, the studio provides classes suitable for beginners to advanced practitioners, including mature students. The classes cover West London, Ealing, Perivale, Greenford, and Middlesex.
At Yoga Lifeline, the focus is on making Yoga accessible to all, regardless of age or ability. Laura assesses each student's ability and ensures a pace suitable for them to learn with confidence. She believes that Yoga can offer numerous benefits as we age and emphasises the importance of exercise in improving our overall well-being.
In addition to Yoga classes, Yoga Lifeline incorporates Bowen Therapy into their sessions. Bowen Therapy is a gentle technique that uses a rolling action over soft tissue to potentially create a signal to the brain. This non-intrusive approach aims to aid and balance the body, offering potential relief from pain that may have been persistent for years.
The studio strives to create a friendly and stress-free environment for every class. Newcomers and experienced students are warmly welcomed, and Laura is available to provide advice and information before attending a class. Laura's expertise in Yoga is evident through her participation as a teacher at the World Yoga Festival in 2018 and 2019.
Yoga Lifeline understands that Yoga should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget. They offer a variety of payment options to suit individual needs, whether it's dropping in occasionally or attending every session.
The driving force behind Yoga Lifeline is Laura, who has a deep appreciation for the importance of Yoga in living a spiritual life. Her life experiences, including growing up in Africa in a mixed-race family and her mother's battle with cancer, have enriched her understanding of healing and the power of nature. Laura came to England in the 1980s with a determination to make a difference, and Yoga became a revolutionary act for her. Inspired by Swami Ambikananda, she delved into Traditional Yoga and Vedanta, ancient books of knowledge on Yoga.
In 1996, Laura had a serious motorbike accident, and Yoga became central in her recovery and future. She completed her training in 2006 and has since been teaching Yoga to over 50s in a community setting, as well as private classes and one-on-one sessions. With over 100 students attending her classes each week, Laura continues to broaden her experience of Yoga through regular training.
Yoga Lifeline & Bowen Therapy also organises yoga retreats and day retreats in the UK and worldwide, providing opportunities for students to immerse themselves in a dedicated practise and experience the transformative power of Yoga.
