Yogamoves4Kids Children’s Yoga Teacher Training is a fantastic 3-day course offered by Yoga Quarter South in Belfast that equips individuals to teach yoga to children aged 3–11 years old. Led by the knowledgeable Caroline Garland, this training covers a wide range of topics including an introduction to SEND, chair yoga, and online yoga to ensure that all children feel included. Participants will have the opportunity to learn various yoga poses, games, partner poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation techniques using props. They will also discover how to use stories and themes to create engaging yoga classes that are suitable for different age groups.
The course comes with a comprehensive manual filled with ideas for lesson plans, as well as 10 complete lesson plans ready to be used in classes. Additionally, there will be introductions to Yoga and SEND by Emma Kaye, Chair Yoga by Amanda Graham, and Teaching Children’s Yoga Online as part of the curriculum.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate and a 6-month mentorship from Caroline Garland. Taking place from November 1st to November 3rd, 2024, the training schedule is as follows: Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 9.30am-5.30pm, and Sunday 11am-7pm. Those interested can take advantage of the early bird price of £550 until March 31st, 2024, with the price increasing to £600 from April 1st, 2024. Payment plans are available with a deposit of £200 to secure a spot.
This course is suitable for a range of individuals including parents, yoga teachers, school teachers, nannies, carers, nursery teachers, and anyone passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with children.
