

Yoga with Lis is a dedicated and passionate yoga instructor located in Fleet, New Zealand. With over 19 years of experience in practising yoga, Lis' journey began in 2002 when she sought relief from excruciating cluster headaches. Not only did yoga alleviate her headaches, but it also improved her overall physical well-being, including relieving aches and pains in her knees.
Lis deeply understands the emotional and mental benefits of yoga, which she discovered throughout her own personal journey. Yoga became her go-to method for finding balance and support during challenging times, including pregnancies, work difficulties, and the loss of loved ones. In 2018, Lis decided to deepen her understanding and commitment to yoga by embarking on the next phase of her journey and completing her training with Sam Rao Yoga School. She began teaching in January 2019 and has since attended various courses and workshops to expand her knowledge and skill set.
Lis believes in maintaining a strong personal practise and continues to attend regular classes, as well as seeking opportunities for self-nurturing through day and weekend retreats. She recognises the importance of constantly improving her own teaching abilities to better serve her students. Lis's goal is to share the transformative power of yoga with her local community, inspiring others to listen to their bodies and find a practise that they can carry with them beyond the confines of the studio.
In her classes, Lis emphasises the holistic nature of yoga, focusing not only on the physical movement but also on breath, stillness, connexion, and cultivating a kind and compassionate mindset. She encourages her students to integrate their yoga practise into their daily lives, recognising that yoga is about more than just the physical postures.
