York Swimming Club, based in the Shire of York, is excited to promote a local swimming event in the beautiful town of York, Australia. This event is perfect for all swimming enthusiasts looking to have a splashing good time!
Managed by the experienced Geoff Heaton, the York Swimming Pool welcomes the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6.00am to 8.30am and 1.00pm to 6.00pm. During summer, the pool is open seven days a week, ensuring you have ample opportunities to dive in and make a splash. However, it's important to note that the pool takes a break from 31st March to 1st November each year.
To make this event accessible to all, the pool offers a range of entry fees for the 2022/23 and 2021/22 seasons. Adults can gain entry for just $5.00, while children aged 5-17 can join the swimming fun for a mere $4.00. If you're a frequent visitor, consider taking advantage of our season passes, available for individuals, families, and children at varying rates. Our family passes are particularly popular as they cover 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children. If you have more family members to include, simply pay a nominal extra fee to add them to your pass.
When you're feeling peckish after a swim or need to quench your thirst, our convenient kiosk offers a tempting selection of light snacks and drinks. It's the perfect spot to refuel and relax after your time in the water. And let's not forget our fantastic Swimming Club, which calls the York Swimming Pool its home. If you're eager to become a member, please note that an annual fee is applicable for junior participants. However, we're proud to offer a 50% reduction on the fees for Aged Pensioners and Seniors holding a valid card.
Safety is always a priority at the York Swimming Pool. Children up to 5 years old enter free of charge, but for their safety, we require children under 10 years old to be accompanied by an adult who is over 18 years old. Additionally, children under 5 years old must always have an adult present in the water with them.
For those seeking a private and exclusive swimming experience, the pool can be rented for special events or gatherings. Our hire fee of $146.00 per hour includes a dedicated pool operator and covers entry fees for all attendees. If you only require a lane for your swimming needs, there's also an option to hire a lane per hour at a rate of $10.00. And if water aerobics or exercise is your kind of workout, we offer a special fee of $20.00 per hour for those activities.
