Pennine Sailing Club is excited to announce their upcoming Youth Sailing Programme, specifically tailored for young sailors of all skill levels. The Kids Club sessions take place every Friday evening from April 29th to early August 2024. Whether your child is a beginner or has some sailing experience under their belt, this programme is designed to help them grow and improve on the water.
Starting at 6.30pm, participants are encouraged to arrive by 6.15pm to get ready for an evening of sailing fun. By 7.00pm, they'll be out on the water, enjoying the thrill of sailing while learning new skills. And hey, if they work up an appetite, fear not! Hot food will be available for purchase to keep those energy levels up.
Parents play a key role in supporting these sessions, whether it's helping with rigging the boats, launching them into the water, or lending a hand in the galley. No sailing experience? No problem! The friendly team of coaches and volunteers is there to assist and supervise every step of the way.
For those looking to take their sailing skills to the next level, Kids Week is the perfect opportunity. From August 12th to August 17th, young sailors can immerse themselves in a week of sailing, coaching, and engaging activities. Plus, they'll have the chance to earn RYA Youth Sailing Scheme qualifications based on their proficiency.
As participants gain confidence and experience, they're encouraged to join Pennine Sailing Club's racing program on Thursdays and Sundays. It's a fantastic way to put those newly acquired skills to the test and further enhance their love for sailing.
If you have any questions or want more information about the Youth Sailing Programme, feel free to reach out to the Kids Captains by emailing kidscaptain@pennine-sc.co.uk. We can't wait to see young sailors out on the water, embracing the wind and waves with enthusiasm and joy!
