Zorya Ukrainian Dance Association

Dancers in this group will focus on building strength, flexibility, and coordination. Juniors will learn 2–3 dances for the year-end concert. Intermediates Zoryas Intermediate class includes dancers aged 9 to 11. These dancers continue to build on their Ukrainian dancing skills by learning more complex steps, formations, and patterns.

They focus on perfecting technique, increasing stamina, and developing an understanding of character and storytelling in their performances. Intermediates will learn 3–4 dances for the year-end concert. Seniors The Senior dancers of Zorya, aged 12 and up, are the most advanced group in the association. They work diligently to perfect their technique, mastering intricate footwork, and dynamic choreography.

Seniors embrace the challenge of learning new dances, expanding their knowledge of Ukrainian dance, and embodying the passion and spirit of their heritage. The Senior Ensemble participates in additional workshops and performances throughout the year. Seniors will learn 5–6 dances for the year-end concert. Zorya Ukrainian Dance Association prides itself on promoting Ukrainian culture in Thunder Bay and beyond through the art of dance.
