The Alexandria Dukes Rugby Football Club plays Rugby Union in the NSW Suburban Rugby competition. Based in Alexandria, just south of the Sydney CBD, the Dukes train a short distance from Redfern station. Established in 2011 the club currently fields teams in the Meldrum Cup and the Halligan Cup competition where they have made considerable impact.
Besides playing Rugby Union, The Alexandria Dukes are a social club, with great member participation at several events throughout the year, including an annual Halloween pub crawl, karaoke competition, and charity fundraisers.
The Rugby Union season usually runs from April – September and new players of any age or skill level are always welcome.
