Movements are taught and practised in class. Physie is a great activity for girls and women of all ability levels.
At Brindabella Physical Culture Club, they pride themselves on promoting self-confidence, personal growth, and the enjoyment of the sport in a fun, safe, and friendly environment. The club is conveniently located in the North of Canberra, just off the Gungahlin Drive Extension in Cook, making it easily accessible for those in the area.
Brindabella Physical Culture Club offers classes for girls and women of all ages, starting from 3 years old. They also offer the first two lessons for free to all new inquiries, allowing potential members to experience the sport before committing.
Physie is not only a physical activity but also a social one. While competitions are available, they are not compulsory, and individuals can choose how much they want to work towards their goals. Competitions typically start in August and run through November, with various age groups and locations. Interclubs, which are individual competitions held by different Physie clubs, are a great opportunity for practise.
The biggest competition of the year is the Champion Girl or Champion Lady competition, which girls and women work hard to reach National level.
In addition to the physical benefits, Physie also helps develop various skills such as good posture, grace, balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, rhythm, and musical interpretation. All of these skills are taught through the choreography in the Physie classes. Whether you have prior dance experience or not, Brindabella Physical Culture Club welcomes everyone and ensures that all positions and movements are taught and practised in class.
If you are interested in learning more about Physie or would like to try two free trial lessons, contact Brindabella Physical Culture Club today. They love to dance and are passionate about promoting fun, fitness, and friendship through the sport.
