The 2016 season will see a new introduction into the A-grade Gold Coast – Tweed Rugby League (GCTRL) competition, the Ormeau Shearers. Congratulations to all involved club executives, volunteers, and coach John Flint in creating this team. The GCTRL is still growing in competition and will see Mudgeeraba Redbacks with a U19’s team and Coomera Cutters introduce a Reserve grade team which will boost the profile amongst the Gold Coast and strengthen the competition. In terms of developments, Beaudesert Kingfishers is showcasing growth in participation amongst the Powrgard and Reserve Grade competitions which is an important part of the development for both the club and competition.
