Different backgrounds and ages. We believe that fencing is a sport that can be enjoyed by anyone, and we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
Our club rooms are located in the western suburbs of Adelaide, just a short fifteen-minute drive from the CBD. We are proud to be the only fencing club in South Australia with a permanent venue, providing a dedicated space for our members to train and compete.
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned fencer, we have something to offer you. We regularly run beginners courses throughout the year, designed to teach you the basics of fencing in no time. Our experienced coaches will guide you every step of the way, ensuring that you feel confident and comfortable on the piste.
If you're ready to take your skills to the next level, we offer general training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights, as well as Saturday mornings. During these times, we also have structured training squads available for those who are looking for a more intensive training experience.
For those who love the thrill of competition, we are here to support you at every level. Whether you're interested in competing at the club, state, national, or even international level, our experienced coaches and supportive community of fencers will be there to help you reach your goals.
At Charles Sturt Fencing Club, we pride ourselves on our excellent facilities. We have four electric pistes available for fencing, as well as an additional four pistes for non-electric fencing and coaching. We also provide changing areas, equipped with six booths for all your gear-up needs. After a tough training session, our informal recreation area is the perfect place to wind down and socialise with fellow members.
Our training times are flexible to accommodate a variety of schedules. We offer training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings. Additionally, we have coaches available for private lessons during these training sessions. Private lessons range from 10 to 20 minutes in duration, with the cost varying by coach.
Please discuss your specific needs and arrangements with the individual coach.
