The Birthing Tree initially grew from the my yoga teaching experience and from there broadened to include pre and post-natal yoga. After completing my prenatal yoga training it became clear that I needed to work more deeply with women in the community and that is when I became a doula. Since then, I've grown to love supporting and empowering women and their partners in their unique birth/life journeys. As a mother myself, I hold a great respect for the individual experiences and decisions of women and their families as they transition into parenthood– be it for the first or fifth time.
The roles of teacher, photographer, and doula are, for me, an opportunity to listen, document, support and gently guide in the natural unfolding of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.
