The Goulburn Harness Racing Club Inc operates the Goulburn Paceway, a historic sports club located at the Goulburn Recreation Area in Goulburn, Australia. The club is presided over by a family-oriented committee and membership, and is open to the public. Situated just a few minutes from the Goulburn city centre, the racetrack is conveniently accessible for both fans and racing participants.
The Goulburn Paceway features an outstanding 1050 metre racing circuit that incorporates the latest advancements in track design. The complex provides excellent spectator facilities in the Grace Millsom Function Centre, catering to all the needs of punters, fans, and participants.
One of the notable features of the Goulburn Paceway is the memorial site of the immortal pacer, Walla Walla. Walla Walla inspired a nation during the 1930s depression era and his burial site is marked at the top of the home straight.
The Day and Hewitt families, who are based at the Goulburn Paceway, have achieved great success in harness racing. They have won the NSW trainers' championships and numerous classic and feature races.
The club holds racing events 10 times a year, typically spanning from December to June. Two of the club's feature race meetings are the Hewitt Memorial Crookwell Race day in mid-January and the Carnival of Cups fixture held on the Australia Day weekend each year.
The Goulburn Harness Racing Club is committed to providing the best country harness racing and aims to make a day out at the trots a fantastic experience for all attendees. The club has been recognised for its efforts, winning awards such as the Best Community Engagement Club at the 2016 TAB. COM. AU Carnival of Cups and the Best Level 1 meeting at the 2015 Tabcorp Carnival of Cups.
